How We Work

Website Design Process

A predictable process helps us solve the right problem before writing code. The result is a site that is easier to understand, easier to maintain and less likely to need immediate rework.

Five practical stages

Website Design Process From Research to Launch

Every project needs enough process to avoid expensive rework, but not so much ceremony that progress stops. We keep the stages clear and make decisions in the order they matter.

01

Research

Review the current site, competitors, search intent, audiences and business goals.

02

Architecture

Decide pages, navigation, internal linking and what question each page must answer.

03

Design

Build the visual system around the approved content structure and mobile behaviour.

04

Development

Code pages, forms, structured data, responsive images and reusable components.

05

QA & Launch

Validate links, accessibility, speed, metadata, redirects and conversion paths before upload.

What happens between stages

What We Need From You During the Website Design Process

Projects move faster when the business can identify a decision-maker, provide accurate service information and respond to questions about priorities. You do not need to arrive with finished copy or a sitemap. We can help structure those pieces, but we do need access to the people who understand the business.

Where Content Fits Into the Process

Content cannot be postponed until the design is finished. Page purpose, headings, proof points, FAQs and calls to action shape the layout. We work on structure and copy early enough that the interface is designed around real information instead of placeholder paragraphs.

How Revisions Stay Productive

Feedback works best when it explains the problem or desired outcome. “Make this bigger” is less useful than “customers keep missing this step.” We group revisions by stage so design decisions are not repeatedly reopened after development begins.

Launch Is a Controlled Migration

For an existing site, launch includes URL mapping, redirects, analytics continuity, sitemap checks, forms, indexability and a post-launch crawl. For a new domain, we verify the same technical foundations and make sure important pages are reachable through normal navigation.

What Gets Approved at Each Stage?

Architecture is approved before detailed design, major visual direction before full development, and core functionality before launch QA. That sequence keeps feedback meaningful and reduces the risk of rebuilding finished work because an earlier decision changed late.

How Long Does a Website Project Take?

Timeline depends more on scope and decision speed than on page count alone. A focused business site with prepared content can move quickly, while a redesign with dozens of URLs, integrations, product data or multiple stakeholders needs more discovery and testing. We set milestones after the dependencies are known instead of promising the same turnaround for every project.
